The Retreat at Elcot Park Wedding (and christening!) - Salisbury photographer

Wondering if it’s possible to plan a stunning wedding in just 3 months? Oh, and if you could throw a first birthday party and Christening into the mix? Nicola and Andrew just proved that yes, you can! They came to me with ambitious plans, a stunning venue booked and an adorable pooch that may have tried to steal the show. Nicola filled the day with so many thoughtful and fun touches, nobody would have believed how quickly she pulled it together. If in doubt, yes you can!

Getting ready!

Nicola got ready at her parents farmhouse along with her bridesmaids, daughter and other precious family members. The house is filled with memories, personality and home comforts.

The ceremony…

Their ceremony was held in a small traditional church just around the corner from her parents house, which was very convenient when a few key items were forgotten! N&A opted for a second shooter so they were able to get lots of photos of people arriving at the church and shots from the back of the church as well as the front throughout the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was kept short and sweet then followed by the christening of their daughter, which was such a sweet idea, especially seeing as family were all together anyway!

The Reception

If you’re looking for a quirky but beautiful wedding venue, The retreat at Elcot park is absolutely worth a visit! They’re a luxury boutique hotel set in the Berkshire countryside combining traditional English charm and quirky modern touches. The guests enjoyed canapes in the stable yard while we snuck off to take photos around the grounds. In June, their gardens were absolutely blooming and we took full advantage!

Their wedding breakfast was set up in the breath-taking orangery, I think the pictures speak for themselves!
